All of our products are handcrafted in the lovely Ozark mountains of Northwest Arkansas. And while it may be far distant from the fabulous Florida Keys and our former waterfront studio, the same care and craftsmanship go into every one-of-a-kind piece.     

     Because all of Laurie's work is made from scratch, so to speak, without benefit of a wheel or commercial molds of any sort, there can be no guarantee that exact specifications can be met. Laurie's etchings and carvings also are done by hand without aid of purchased stencils or other commercial products, making it impossible to guarantee that one piece will exactly match the next.       
    
     There also are always variables during firing. Each item is kiln-fired at least twice and painted with high-quality commercial glazes. However, even a tried and true glaze can't be guaranteed to produce the same results every time. That said, it is our goal at Laurie Karnatz Ceramics to produce unique items that meet our customers' specifications and desires.       

     Commissions from tasteful personal photos will be considered for commissioned nudes, but prospective clients should be warned that perfect results cannot be guaranteed because each piece is individual and subject to the vagaries inherent in handmade products.      Down payments for custom pieces vary depending upon the item:
    --     A 50 percent nonrefundable down payment will be required for commissioned nudes.
    --       Other items created from photographs, such as mother and child, require a 50 percent nonrefundable down payment.
    --       All other commissions require a 25 percent nonrefundable down payment.       
     As the process is time intensive, expect delivery not sooner than four to six weeks from receipt of photograph and down payment.       

     If you'd like to special order a handmade kitchen item or fish plaque, please contact us. Colors and size, to your specifications, will nonetheless be approximate as no piece is exactly alike nor can a piece be exactly duplicated.       

     If you have need of a special piece: a particular type of fish [snapper, grouper, tuna] on a platter or casserole, or of a particular size and color, contact us to see what's possible. A 25 percent nonrefundable deposit will be required for each special order. As it is a time-consuming process, expect delivery no sooner than four to six weeks from order date.
